Jesse Jacobs likes to draw animals, snowy landscapes, and cold, sterile machines of the future. He is especially fond of drawing them in his comics. With loving indifference, he has released a number of books under various titles. His newest efforts Blue Winter, a love story about a blue jay with the audacity todemand the infinite, and Small Victories, an existential scream to a vast and lonely heaven, have been nominated for a Doug Wright Award and can be found in the finer comic book shops across the country.
Jesse works as an illustrator from his humble home in London, Ontario, busying himself with everything from poster art to t-shirt graphics. He has been an active contributor to the Halifax weekly The Coast, where you will find his illustrations of big headed chaps with lots of pimples and his comic strips about his incredibly high standards of youth and beauty.
